THE GUEST HOUSE RESTAURANT AT DAR TANIT
Moroccan cuisine usually is a women’s business… And even though it sure is a journey for your taste buds, it can also be a treat for your eyes, nose and heart.
It is rooted in a mix of dishes, be they traditional, typical of festive days or from the street, and results in a rich, varied, sunny and colorful gastronomy.
- At Dar Tanit, food follows, as far as possible, the flow of seasons using fresh products from the farm and surrounding country souks.
- Menus and meals are always diet-conscious, taking into account all the guests’ wishes, using recipes of hot or cold soups, different juices or typical salads, turnovers or wood fire grilled meat, couscous, multi-flavored tagines, or any other rediscovered olden days treat… Meals always end with Moroccan fruity desserts, dairy products, pies or pastries.
- The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes regular hot beverages and home-made fruit juices, soft pancakes and morning bread, marmalade and honey, or olive oil, local cheeses and eggs.
When the sun is not out, meals are served inside the “Moorish Café” but most often, tables, cushions and baskets are prepared for guests to eat the “Moroccan way”, in the shades of the arbors, veils or high olive trees.
